3. The personal data we collect
Make-Ready Editions is a trading name operated by Avant Arte B.V. Avant Arte B.V. is the data controller responsible for all personal data collected through the Make-Ready Editions website, as well as through avantarte.com and arte.bio. All transactions made via the Make-Ready Editions website are legally entered into with Avant Arte B.V., which also provides order fulfilment.
While using our websites, we might ask you to consent to provide us with Personal Data including your name and email address, to enhance your experience. We may also collect certain information automatically through cookies and similar tools. Our site collects certain information automatically, including your IP address, the type of browser you are using, and certain other non-personal data about your computer or device such as your operating system type or version, and display resolution.
If you place an order, in addition to your name and shipping address, relevant financial information, including credit or debit card details and payment address provided will be processed and held by our external payment processors, and treated in accordance with their privacy policies. Our external payment processors may store your payment card details at your request
Where you place an order or register interest in a Make-Ready Editions product, your information will be processed by Avant Arte B.V. in order to manage and fulfil that order. Make-Ready Editions marketing communications will remain separate from Avant Arte’s primary mailing lists unless you choose otherwise.
If you send us an email, we may collect your name, your email address, and any other information which you choose to give us. For the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation, we are the data controller responsible for such personal data.
The lawful basis under the Data Protection Legislation that allows us to use such information is article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR which allows us to process personal data when it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, in this case, the proper operation and functionality of our site.
4. Use of personal data
Where we collect any personal data, it will be processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with our obligations and safeguard your rights under the Data Protection Legislation at all times.
We may use your personal data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.
If you sign up specifically to Make-Ready Editions newsletters, updates, or announcements, you will receive communications relating only to the Make-Ready Editions brand unless you separately opt-in to Avant Arte’s communications.
Unless you have opted-in to sharing personal data with us, we do not generally collect any personal data directly from you, but if you contact us and we obtain your personal details from your email, we may use them to respond to your email. The other technical data referred to above is necessary for the technical operation of our site and will not normally be used in any way to personally identify you.
5. Storage of personal data
We will only store your personal data within the European Economic Area (the “EEA”). The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.
