Matthew Palladino

Matthew Palladino

American artist Matthew Palladino presents a new limited edition print made during the pandemic in La Paz, Bolivia. After relocating there with his Bolivian wife, who was forced to leave her beloved plant collection behind in the US, Palladino began painting the succulents and cacti she collected anew.

A beautiful blend of the surreal and the sacred, the work transforms a rare crested San Pedro cactus into a vivid plant portrait.

“Nature, the light passing over a mountain, or a random succulent growing on the hillside, could completely overwhelm me and occupy my thoughts.”
