Morgan Sims

Philadelphia-based artist Morgan Sims works between control and chance, using a drip process on paper and canvas that demands careful planning yet resists full prediction.

Drawing on art history, from Van Gogh to Picasso, as well as symbols closer to home, her paintings straddle the abstract and the recognisable: human, art-minded, and exploratory in equal measure.
