This selection of Grant Watson’s tonal oil paintings mark a pivotal moment in his practice – a shift into figuration. Watson is guided by techniques of painting wet into wet, using a dry brush and a very restricted palette of just three primary colours: cadmium red, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue with titanium white.
